What can you do with a degree in Biology?

Careful planning with your advisor, a Biology faculty member, prepares you for an exciting and successful future!

You will complete a two-semester senior project and present your work at the annual Senior Research Symposium. Maybe you will present your work at a regional or national meeting (our students go to NCUR). Maybe you will publish a paper with your faculty supervisor.

You might qualify to complete an internship in a research laboratory or hospital. These experiences will help you get into graduate and professional programs or get jobs (Check out our alumnae!).

After getting a solid foundation in general biology and genetics or cell biology and you can choose courses ranging from molecular genetics to ecology to physiology. You will also learn to design experiments, interpret and present results, and solve problems.

Minor in Biology

Why not combine a major in Psychology or English with a minor in Biology? Students majoring in other departments can complete a biology minor as follows:
