Research interests include teaching literacy to high risk students and urban education.

The critical issue facing education today is to really strive for leaving no child behind in learning. The necessity to educate and prepare all students to the best of their ability is key to the continued growth and strength of our country.

Hobbies include walking with my dogs, reading, gourmet cooking and gardening.
