Sage All Stars

The Sage All Stars is an after school arts enrichment program for fifth and sixth graders that explores visual art, digital literacy and service learning. It is developed and facilitated by faculty and graduate students from the Esteves School of Education at Sage. The program runs Tuesday afternoons from 3:30-6:00 on the Russell Sage College campus.
The Sage All Stars program includes active games, healthy snacks, homework time, and a variety of visual art and digital literacy activities planned and taught by MAT in Art Education graduate students. Recent Sage All Stars students have collaborated on murals, created large mixed media self portrait “pages” for a group book exhibited at The Arts Center, and designed and painted an Uncle Sam Statue for the Uncle Sam Project in Troy. Use of Robison Gym, the Sage computer labs and walking visits in the area, such as the Rensselaer County Historical Society, complement the enrichment.
