NAEA 2012 Conference

MAT in Art Education students, faculty and cooperating teachers attended the 2012 National Art Education Association Conference in New York City in March. Participants in this professional development opportunity learned about best practices and contemporary art education theory and research.  

MAT in Art Education Exhibition, June 2011

Candidates in the MAT in Art Education program develop a graduate studio practice throughout the program and participate in a group exhibition in the Little Gallery on the Albany campus in June.

MAT Art Students work with the Sage All Stars

Candidates in the MAT in Art Education program get experience working with local students in the methods course, MTA 511.

Fall 2011 candidates designed and taught a unit about community as part of the Sage All Stars after school program with students from the Ark Community Charter School.
