Writing Minor

The writing minor offers an opportunity to develop understanding of, and superior skills in, written communication. It is compatible with any major and will enhance opportunities for employment or graduate study.

Requirements for Minor in Writing Credits

Select four of the following (12 credits)

ENG 125 Writing for the Mass Media
ENG 230 Business Writing
ENG 231 Creative Writing
ENG 233 Writing and Rhetoric Seminar
ENG 235 Technical Writing

Select one additional course from the above OR from the following (3 credits)

ENG 232 Creative Writing
COM 121 Introduction to Public Relations
COM 230 Feature Writing
COM 326 Writing for Public Relations

Independent writing project or internship (3 credits)
