Ekaterina Kagan, Ph.D.
Dr. Kate Kagan, Assistant Professor of Spanish, joined Russell Sage College in the fall of 2008. She received her B.A. and M.A., Diploma Summa Cum Laude, from Moscow State University. She continued her studies in Seville, Spain, and MSU where she earned a Ph.D. in Hispanic Linguistics. Her dissertation focused on the lexical variation in the Spanish-speaking islands of the Caribbean (Puerto Rico, Cuba, Dominican Republic). Her primary research interests are Applied Linguistics and 19th- and 20th-Century Spanish and Latin American Literature. She is the author of two books: Russian-Spanish phrase book, 2008, and Introduction to France, 2007.
