Best Teaching Moment: When I witness my students making connections between what they are learning in class and what they are seeing or experiencing in “the real world”. For example, visiting one of the local county correctional facilities was transformative for my students; many of them left the facility with more passion for the course content and a desire to promote system’s change.
Research Interests: I am an applied community psychologist with experience working across the disciplines of psychology and criminal justice. A considerable amount of my research has focused on understanding and improving the lives of female offenders.
