How you'll get there

Here are the requirements you will meet to earn a bachelors degree in International Studies.

B.A Degree in International & Globalization Studies

The major in Globalization builds the skills necessary to understand an increasingly interdependent world. The major joins study in economics, modern history, and political science to intensive work in a foreign language. Students find that these interdisciplinary perspectives widen their horizons, promote rapid intellectual and personal growth, and can open doors to new and challenging career options in multinational companies, international banking, government agencies, or international non-profit organizations.

Globalization majors complete a required program core of 36 credits. A minor in Communications is an attractive choice for developing additional career options. To further foreign language fluency and to assure a genuine international experience, students should spend a significant time abroad in the country whose language they are studying. Typically, this means a semester of study, but it could also comprise an internship or work-based experience.

Students must complete a minimum of 90 credits in liberal arts courses. Regardless of whether the longer study abroad option is taken all majors will be expected to take part in the regularly offered Quebec Experience mini-course (or equivalent) offered in the week before the second semester begins.
