This internship at Farm Family has allowed me to have a potential career out of my experience. Even though there isn’t a job opening at Farm Family, the agent I worked with has proposed a unique business opportunity. Instead of the company hiring me directly, my agent wants to hire me for a three-month period to help him sell business insurance. He is a licensed, experienced agent. I would be involved in sales prospecting and organizing appointments for potential clients. For every meeting that I set up and he gets the sale, I will receive a percentage of the commission. This three-month period gives me an opportunity to see if I really like this type of work. My plan is to take the appropriate coursework to prepare for the State licensing insurance exam. This internship has been an incredible experience that I will never forget.
