Based on my experience as an intern with a sole proprietor in law, I would recommend that any business or law student work for an attorney. The work was so interesting. I found myself totally engaged whether it be listening to a client’s story or performing research to support the case argument. From the perspective of a business student, I learned how a busy, small practice operates. I was able to apply and improve my computer and organizational skills. From the perspective of a law student, I was able to relate what I learned in Sage law courses. I’ve become an excellent observer and stronger communicator. Attorney Babson has encouraged me to take the LSAT exam and consider studying law.
Pam Babson, Attorney at Law, Internship Supervisor:
Ms. Frost organized and computerized the billing for an appellate case that had been hand written. She created a template in Excel for this file as well as for all future cases leading to increased productivity and efficiency. Allexis was an asset to my office. She was a very quick learner and was a key person in the office for legal research. She is very knowledgeable in computer technology and was able to streamline operations.
