Past Experiences

From January 7 - 16, 2006, a group of Russell Sage students and faculty traveled to Italy. As a classic tour of Italy's traditional cities, the group experienced many parts of Italy's culture. Some of the areas visited include:

  • Rome
  • The Ancient Ruins of Pompeii
  • Assisi
  • Chianti
  • Florence
  • Padua
  • Venice

  • study representations of women in art, religion, and other cultural sites in Italy.
  • study consumption patterns targeting women in Italy.
  • study women in business and entrepreneurial ventures in Italy.
  • study women's lives and experiences in Italy.
  • explore a broad range of topics including social relations, education, religion, politics, business, history, and contemporary culture and cuisine in Italy and Europe.
