International Studies Series: Western Europe

May 14 - May 23, 2007
Students studied and travelled to Western Europe in May with Professor Brownell and Professor Ingraham. During our visit to England, the late Dame Anita Roddick, founder of The Body Shop, gave an address to students at the headquarters of Amnesty International, London. In addition students met with a high-ranking official at BERD (Bank for Economic Reconstruction and Development), attended Wicked in the West End Theatre District, visited the Peace Palace at the Hague, toured the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, participated in a team building workshop at the chocolate museum in Bruges to create a chocolate sculpture, and several lectures from prominent faculty and distinguished officials of the European Union.
