Public Administration
The Capital District of New York is both seat of government and home to many not-for-profit and public service organizations. Not only are skilled administrators and analysts in government, human services and the not-for-profit sector in great demand, but the region also provides excellent opportunities for research and for gaining practical experience in the field. The program provides a deeper understanding of the relationship between policy and program, between government and agencies, and between not-for-profit organizations and governments at all levels.
Public Administration is now offered as a concentration in Sage's M.S. in Organization Management program. Many students in the program are already employed in government and not-for-profit organizations. Students have consistently praised the Sage program as highly relevant to their work needs. For many of them, the program has meant enhanced career advancement and mobility.
