Computer Competency

The available test dates for the Fall semester of 2009 will be as follows:

October: 1, 14, 15, 28, 29
November: 11, 12, 23, 24
December: 9, 10

Testing will be offered at 10AM and 3PM on each of the days listed above.

The Computer Competency Assessment will involve the testing of fundamental computing skills, including Windows XP, MS-Office 2003; Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Click the link to access the

There are two options for Computer Competency:*

There is a $25 test fee. There is an optional re-test with no fee. Technology Intensive/Computer Literacy Waiver granted for scores of 70% or above. No course credit will be given; the student should consult with their faculty advisor regarding course options. Student receives immediate feedback. All passing assessments (scores of 70% or above) will be sent to the Registrar's Office.

OR

There is a $150 test fee. There is an optional re-test with no fee. Technology Intensive/Computer Literacy Waiver granted for scores of 70% or above. Three credits will be given for CSI 101, Computer Literacy. (These credit hours will not be applied towards financial aid qualifications) Student receives immediate feedback. All passing assessments (scores of 70% or above) will be sent to the Registrar's Office.
