Alumni & Student Reflections about the Sage OT Experience
" What I like most about the OT program at Sage is that we are a diverse group of individuals who have all different work and life experiences. Despite these differences, however, we share a commonality; the strong desire to help others as occupational therapists. Everyone has the ability to contribute to class in some way, reflect on relevant experiences, or ask questions that no one else thought of. We're together all day every day and we've really grown as a class to be a support system for one another, which is something I never experienced in my undergraduate courses."
Jenn Coffey, Class of 2007
"The program at Sage is great! The teachers work very hard to make sure that you not only know the information, but that you can apply it to real life situations. They also help you to develop good professional habits that will help you become a successful therapist and continue learning throughout your career."
Bailee Layn, Class of 2007
"Graduate research was the main reason I was hired, as I had experience working with cancer patients and families using innovative approaches."
Mackenzie Sneddon, of 2002
"Working with other therapists, I believe that Sage offered a much more in-depth education, as well as giving us experience with a broader range of treatment interventions and strategies, as well as establishing a foundation of work ethic and professionalism."
Kim Ciriello, Class of 2001
"The benefits of a small school where professors really know and care about their students has proved so valuable."
Ashley Conway , Class of 2001
"As a result of my Sage education I feel well prepared and have a vast library of resources for review from my class notes and materials."
Daniel Houlihan, Class of 2001
"Overall, I feel I received a very well-rounded OT education at sage. Working with other new grads, I feel I received a more diverse OT education. I feel I have more knowledge with treatments and evaluations than many others!"
Lynn Miller (Gorczyca), Class of 2001
"I feel my educational preparation at Sage gave me a diverse knowledge base. Overall I feel very competent in my role as an OT."
