Janet Hakey-Brusgul PT, DPT, MS, OCS, CSCS

Janet Hakey-BrusgulJanet received her BS in physical therapy from the University of Vermont, her MS in exercise physiology from Long Island University, and her DPT degree from The Sage Colleges. Janet is a board certified clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy and a Certified Sports and Conditioning Specialist. Janet has worked in a variety of clinical settings. Her clinical experiences are diverse and include cardiac rehabilitation, inpatient and outpatient neurological rehabilitation, general acute care, and orthopedics. Janets particular expertise is in orthopedic manual therapy and exercise science. She is active in the American Physical Therapy Association Eastern District New York Chapter and is Eastern District treasurer, secretary and chair of the Eastern District Continuing Education Committee. Janet currently has primary teaching responsibility in exercise physiology, patient management in the musculoskeletal system, and health and wellness. Janets research interests are in the areas of orthopedics, fitness and health and wellness.
