Danielle Vittone PT, DSc, MSPA, OCS
Danielle received her BS in physical therapy from Northeastern University and her MS in public administration from Sage Graduate School in Albany. She received her doctor of science degree in physical therapy with a specialization in orthopedics from Rocky Mountain University. Danielle is also a board certified clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy. Her clinical background includes acute and chronic outpatient orthopedics, hand rehabilitation, geriatrics, and home care. She continues to treat patients in her outpatient orthopedic clinical practice at Western Massachusetts Physical Therapy P.C. in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Danielle has participated as an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) in a variety of roles. At the state level in Massachusetts she was elected and served as a Delegate to the APTA House of Delegates for 17 years. She was appointed to the APTA of Massachusetts Bylaw Committee and then served as chair for that same committee. Nationally, Danielle was appointed to serve on the Task Force on Referral for Profit and served four years as a committee member and one year as the chair of the American Physical Therapy Association’s Ethics and Judicial Committee. Danielle currently serves as the president of the Physical Therapy Provider Network of New England (PTPN NE). Danielle’s research interests are in the areas of posttraumatic stress disorder in the outpatient physical therapy population, domestic violence, and orthopedics.
