The Psychology Department on the Troy campus hosted a fall brown bag lunch on "Everything you wanted to know about about graduate school" which included recent RSC alums. In the spring, the Department sponsored a community-building event featuring Dance, Dance Revolution as well as a psychology awareness day that invited students to rate themselves on a Positive Psychology Happiness Inventory. Students interested in suggesting additional events may contact Dr. Syb Jennings (jennis@sage.edu) or Dr. Julie McIntyre (mcintj@sage.edu).

Students and faculty advisers gather at a fall luncheon to hear about the students' honors research projects.

Dr. McIntyre recently presented a roundtable and two posters at The Society for Research in Child Development in Denver, CO in April. The first poster, Urban Adolescents Possible Selves at LEGORobotics Camp, was done with Dr. Sybillyn Jennings. The roundtable, Scholarship, Assessment and Outcomes in Developmental Science Pedagogy: Still in Their Infancy, was presented at the Teaching Institute with Karen Brakke of Spelman College and Janet Kuebli of Saint Louis University. The second poster, Developmental Perspectives from the APA National Conference on Undergraduate Education in Psychology, was done in collaboration with several colleagues and was based on an APA book coming out this year.
