All the faculty of the Department of Nursing have graduate preparation in nursing. Seven full-time faculty members have doctoral preparation; 80 percent of' full-time faculty teaching graduate courses have doctorates. Faculty have a wide variety of clinical and educational backgrounds to support their teaching expertise; four faculty have national certification as nurse practitioners in adult, family, acute care, and gerontology.
