Professor Brownell's pedagogy is based on the theory that learning is a partnership
where her primary role is to inspire, motivate, and engage students in activities
designed to stimulate intellectual curiosity and seek new ways of solving problems.
Her approach embraces the valuing of diversity, leadership, and creativity.
The centerpiece of her approach is an understanding of change as integral to
life. Students acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to proactively adapt
to what is a central
feature of life, personally and organizationally.
