Marlo Daniels is a Troy native who earned a BA in English from The College of St. Rose, an MA in Literary and Cultural Studies from Carnegie Mellon University and a MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College. In 2007, Ms. Daniels' short story, "Bottoms Up", which now opens her new book, was published in Dossier--Carnegie Mellon's literary magazine. Her professional career first began at Carnegie Mellon University where she started working with students struggling to balance their education along side their creative natures in a Critical Art Histories class. Today, Ms. Daniels teaches her patented, Tattooed, Tanned and Techno course as well as a variety of literature and writing courses for institutes including Marist College, Sage College, Hudson Valley Community College and Bryant and Stratton College. She is currently finishing her father's memoir, Bottoms Up: A Surgeon's Quest.
