Matthew McElligott has been a member of the Sage faculty since 1998. He teaches illustration, graphic design, and digital multimedia courses. He is a graduate of Alfred University and the University of Buffalo, and is a former president of the Graphic Artists Guild of Albany. He is over six feet tall and owns more than a dozen chickens.

Matt is the author and illustrator of many books for children, including The Lion's Share, Absolutely Not, two books on Backbeard the pirate, Bean Thirteen, and Even Monsters Need Haircuts (due spring 2010). More information can be found on his website at www.mattmcelligott.com
