IND 301: Kitchen and Bath Design

All candidates for the BFA Interior Design degree that wish to meet National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) guidelines for kitchen and bath specialization must complete 160 hours of documented work experience in kitchen and bath design, architecture, sales, and/or customer service, approved by the interior design program coordinator. Students graduating from an NKBA Endorsed Program are qualified to apply immediately for the Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer (AKBD) certification exam. AKBD certification is the first step to becoming a Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD) or Certified Bath Designer (CBD).
