The Alumnae/i Experts

The goal of this activity is to connect alumnae/i to students, accepted at a Sage college but not yet enrolled, who are interested in pursuing professional careers similar to the alum. Through this pairing based on academic program interests, it is anticipated that 1) the accepted students will receive valuable college and career information from a reliable source and member of the Sage community, 2) the student's choice of Sage will be affirmed by seeing that a Sage experience leads to a successful work life and 3) thus informed, the student will move from the 'accepted' to the 'enrolled' category.

The method of contact is decided by the alum - an e-mail, a letter of a phone call. The correspondence could include reasons for choosing Sage, comments on the academic and extracurricular activities while in college and career and community achievements. And, it is hoped that a statement would be included on the importance of a Sage education to becoming the successful and respected citizen.

Accepted students will not reply directly to the alumna, but rather, will ask additional questions of their admission counselor. This may be accomplished through an e-mail address provided in the body of the e-mail or through the "Ask Admission" portion of the Admission web site.
