Kayak Experience with alumnus Mike Cavanaugh JCA ’72 

Tuesday, July 12
6:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Boat Launch at Waterford Canal Park

Limited to 20 kayakers and must be 16 years or older

$10 for those who own their own kayak and $35 for rentals

Grab your boat, meet fellow alumni and have a relaxing evening kayak trip on the Hudson and Mohawk Rivers near the Waterford locks. We will sneak up an arm of the Mohawk to a beautiful waterfall and if daylight allows - paddle among the boats waiting at the locks to begin their journey up the NYS Barge Canal. 

After our kayak experience we will come together for snacks and drinks.

What to bring - Your kayak, life jacket (PFD) and paddle. If you don't have a kayak, some rentals will be available from Upstate Kayak Rentals at the launch site. We encourage you to bring water, bathing suit or clothes that you don't mind getting wet and a change of clothes for afterwards. Most importantly bring your sense of adventure and your smile! Never kayaked before? Not to worry certified instructors and experienced paddlers will be there to join us.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream at SPAC

6:00 p.m. – Dinner at the Hall of Springs
8:00 p.m. – Ballet Performance

$60 per person (Limited to 1 alumni and 1 guest)

Enter the enchanted land of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a lush forest besieged by quixotic love triangles and feuding fairy kingdoms, awash with magic at every turn.

Boston Red Sox vs. Detroit Tigers

Monday, July 25
Fenway Park – 7:10 p.m. game

$25 per person (Limited 2 tickets per person)

Put your ball cap and join us at historic Fenway Park as the Boston Red Sox take on the Detroit Tigers. Seats are located in section Bleacher 37. Included in the price of the ticket is $10 that can be used at the concession stand.

A Day at the Races – Saratoga Race Track

Wednesday, August 17

$55 per person (Limited to 1 alumni and 1 guest)

Tickets include admission into the track, reserved seating in the Easy Goer, formerly known as the Upper Carousel in the historic Victorian Grandstand, lunch and race day program. Tickets for this event will go on sale on Friday, July 1.
