The Academy for Character Education at The Sage Colleges is holding its 9th Annual Northeast U.S. Conference on Character Education. This year's theme is "Character Matters: Strategies Leading to Excellence in Student Achievement, Attitudes and Actions."

2005 Conference SpeakersKeynote Address

This year's keynote address will be given by Dr. Steven Birchak, author of How to Build a Child's Character, who will discuss "A Dynamic, Uplifting and Informed Teacher Advocate."

Regular Registration
$149 per participant before registration deadline (Oct. 29, 2008). Registration includes all conference materials, lunch and t-shirt. Contact The Academy for group discounts (starting at five from the same school district or organization).

The Academy has arranged a special room rate of $129 for a limited number of rooms (regular rate is $205) for the evening of November 4. In order to obtain this rate please reference "Sage Academy" when making your reservation. The Hilton Garden Inn provides free shuttle service from/to Albany International Airport, AMTRAK or bus and free parking. Room amenities include wired and wireless internet access, refrigerator and microwave oven. Hotel amenities include an indoor pool. This room block expires on October 21.

Conference registrants may reserve the evenings of November 3 and/or 5 at the same special room rate.
