Consultation

Academy staff members are available for consultation with school districts, teachers, business and civic organizations. Services are tailored to specific district needs as determined through an initial meeting. This could include planning implementation of a Character Education program, assistance in creating a district or organizational team, workshops for teachers, administrators, students, parents, civic or business members, conferences and specific strategies to be utilized in the classroom, organization and elsewhere.

Character in the Workplace workshops

The Academy offers a program called "Character in the Workplace: A Seminar on Character Based Leadership and Work Skills" for business and civic organizations. Contact the Academy for details and a complimentary consultation on how this program applies to your organization.

Conference Videotape

Videotapes of the keynote addresses from the Inaugural Conference on Character Education are available for $39.95 plus tax. Included are:

  • Lt. Governor Mary Donohue – "Civility, Citizenship and Character Education in New York"
  • Dr. Thomas Lickona, Director of the Center for the Fourth and Fifth "Rs" (Respect and Responsibility) and Professor of Education, SUNY Cortland – "Educating for Character: A Comprehensive Approach"
