The Sage Colleges Proudly Show Off Vail House Gardens During Annual Tour
Russell Sage College in Troy was a proud participant in The Friends of Prospect Park's 13th Annual Hidden Garden Tour held on Thursday, May 24, 2012.
The gardens at Vail House at Russell Sage College in Troy
This self-guided walking tour featured gardens located throughout the historic Sage and Washington Parks as well as the nearby districts of Downtown Troy. Many local residents spend months preparing for this eagerly anticipated annual event. Many gardens along the tour are entered through alleyways, some from the street. Gardens are marked with ribbons and are open for viewing from 4:00 - 7:00pm.
This year, President Susan Scrimshaw proudly displayed the beautiful and meticulously landscaped gardens at Vail House, the president's residence.
More than 200 tour-goes enjoyed this year's tour which included stops at 25 locations throughout Troy.
Tour-goes admire the gardens at Vail House at Russell Sage College in Troy
Proceeds from this event benefit ongoing projects at Prospect Park. Prospect Park, located in the middle of the City of Troy, provides a spectauclar 25-mile vista of the Hudson River Valley.
Tickets for this annual event are $10 and parking is available at The Sage Colleges parking lot located on 1st Street and Divison Avenue in Troy.
