Live well – stay well!

The Sage Colleges School of Health Sciences sponsored a Community Health and Wellness Fair at Crossgates Mall on October 24.  Students provided information and interactive exhibits dealing with ways to promote health, prevent injury and live healthier lives. All ages were welcome to participate in interactive educational booths about osteoporosis, asthma & lung health, diabetes, back care, bladder health, heart disease and recovery from breast cancer.  Information was available dealing with the role that physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, nutritionists, psychologists and forensic mental health professionals play in community wellness. Additionally, materials were distributed dealing with community resources that support health across a lifespan. Resources for veterans were available as well.
