Instructional Technologist/Multimedia Specialist
The Sage Colleges seek an Instructional Technologist/Multimedia Specialist. Responsibilities of this full-time, 12 month administrative position include:
- Provide telephone and email helpdesk support to faculty on the colleges course management system (Moodle) as well as various instructional/multimedia software and platforms.
- Administer the Moodle course management system, Mahara ePortfolio system and iTunesU.
- Develop end-user documentation and reference materials on the colleges Knowledgebase.
- Provide one-on-one and/or small group instruction for faculty in video and audio production and editing purposes.
- Work with student assistants to record, edit, and publish video and audio recordings for iTunesU.
- Assist the Instructional Designer in providing instruction for faculty on how to maximize the use of available college applications and programs such as Impactica, PowerPoint, Camtasia, SnagIt, Jing, iTunesU, and various Web 2.0 tools.
- Other projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree and experience with instructional technology support required. Preferred Qualifications: Degree in instructional technology, or related field; experience administering a Learning Management System, iTunes and/or ePortfolios; skilled in all Microsoft Office applications at the advanced level; Experience with Web 2.0 tools and classroom technology, such as smartboards, Camtasia, Impatica, web conferencing software, etc; knowledge of server-side scripting languages, such as ASP and PHS. This individual will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical staff and end users.
