The Sage Colleges seeks applications for a specialist in Rhetoric and Composition for a tenure track position beginning Fall 2009. Qualified candidates will teach our Writing Across the Curriculum courses and must have secondary English Education experience as he or she will also supervise student teachers in English as well as coordinate our MAT in English program. Teaching load is 3-4. The candidate must have an earned doctorate in English, experience teaching at the undergraduate level, and evidence of active scholarship.
The Sage Colleges includes Russell Sage College for Women, and the co-educational Sage College of Albany and Sage Graduate School. The duties of this position are primarily on the Russell Sage campus, but the qualified candidate might teach an occasional course at Sage College of Albany as well.
The Capital Region of New York State (New Yorks Tech Valley) is located at the intersection of New York, Massachusetts, and Vermont, close to the beautiful mountain ranges and lakes that offer year-round recreation opportunities.
