The Sage Fund for Excellence

At Sage, we refer to the Annual Fund as The Sage Fund for Excellence, and here's why:

  • Sage depends on two primary sources of income in order to operate, tuition revenue and fundraising dollars. While many generous donors restrict their gifts to specifically support things like building projects and endowed scholarships, contributions to The Sage Fund for Excellence are essential because they directly impact Sage's ability to serve its students year after year.
  • The money raised in each year's Sage Fund for Excellence campaign immediately supports scholarship and financial aid, curriculum development and innovation, and resources for faculty members and facilities. Because of contributions to The Sage Fund for Excellence, over 95 percent of our students receive scholarships and financial aid each year, dorms and academic buildings are properly maintained, and students have access to enriching experiences both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Gifts of any amount MAKE a difference! With more than 34,000 Sage alumni and friends, just imagine if everyone contributed at least $1 to The Sage Fund. That equals enough money to annually fund one student who otherwise might not be able to afford a college education! Now do the math for gifts of $25, $50, or $100!
  • Gifts of ANY AMOUNT REALLY DO make difference! Participation, regardless of amount, is key in gaining corporate and government funding to support things like student and faculty research, academic program enhancements, and necessary building projects.
  • A gift to The Sage Fund is a wonderful way for alumni and friends to express their appreciation and gratitude for the extraordinary educational, extracurricular, and professional environment here at Sage.
