The doctoral program in Educational Leadership in the Esteves School of Education at The Sage Colleges invites applications for a full-time faculty position effective summer 2013. The position includes teaching, dissertation supervision and student recruitment and advisement in an exciting program designed to develop the next generation of system leaders.
The successful candidate will possess an earned doctorate in education from an accredited institution and certification as a school district leader. The position requires experience as a school superintendent or in another system-wide leadership position associated with education, along with a record of successful leadership that establishes a regional and statewide reputation to attract students to the program. Previous teaching experience in higher education, preferably in educational leadership programs, and with research courses for doctoral dissertations is highly desired.
The doctoral program requires students to work both individually and collaboratively; the successful candidate for the faculty position must also be able to do both with ease. The successful candidate must support the conceptual framework of the Esteves School of Education and exhibit values consistent with the philosophy contained therein. Teaching, scholarship and service are all required from the full-time faculty at Sage.
The Sage Colleges, located in the Tech Valley/ Capital Region of New York State, includes Russell Sage College for Women, the coeducational Sage College of Albany, the NCATE-accredited Esteves School of Education, and Sage’s other graduate schools, Health Science and Management. The Sage Colleges are accredited by The Middle States Commission of Higher Education.
