Documentary & Discussion: Slavery by Another Name

Slavery by Another Name, a Created Equal film, challenges one of Americans' most cherished assumptions: that slavery in this country ended with the Emancipation Proclamation. Screening of the 90-minute documentary will be accompanied by a discussion led by Alice Green, Ph.D, executive director of the Center for Law and Justice in Albany.

The Created Equal film series is made possible through a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, as part of its Bridging Cultures initiative, in partnership with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. The event is part of The Sage Colleges celebration of Black History Month.
