Steven Millhauser is the author of Martin Dressler: The Tale of an American Dreamer, for which he received the Pulitzer Prize in 1997. His short story Eisenheim the Illusionist was adapted for the 2006 film The Illusionist. His most recent work is Dangerous Laughter: Thirteen Stories (2008). Millhauser
