Albany, NY – The Sage Colleges are pleased to welcome professor of psychology Gordon G. Gallup Jr. to discuss “The Science of Sex Appeal” as part of Sage’s International Education Week.
Currently a faculty member at the University at Albany, Dr. Gallup is an evolutionary psychologist whose areas of interest include reproductive competition and the biology of interpersonal attraction. Gallup has more than 250 published works on topics such as the evolution of intelligence, predator-prey relations, human reproductive competition, chemistry and behavior. He’s famously known for developing the “mirror test,” which measures self-awareness.
“The Science of Sex Appeal” will explore the similarities between cultures around the world and their mate selection process. Gallup will discuss the universal genetic predispositions and instincts that exist within our biological makeup.
