The Bridge: A Musical

The Bridge, a historical fantasy, tells the story of the Brooklyn Bridge through the eyes of 1920s New York poet Hart Crane. Crane becomes obsessed with the bridge and its builders, and in particular, its silent builder Emily Warren Roebling. His obsession becomes the impetus for his epic poem, which he writes as he communes with the bridge and Emily. Soon, magically, their worlds collide.
