Miss Representation is a powerful film about the misrepresentations of women and girls in the media and the impact of those misrepresentations on the lives, psyches, and relationships of all of us – women and men, boys and girls. Part documentary and part call-to-action, the Miss Representation project aims to educate and motivate viewers to reject damaging messages that equate youth, beauty and sexuality with self-worth and to fight back against the companies and media outlets that perpetuate those messages.
