The Way of Pilgrims: Walking the Camino France
Please join us for a presentation and discussion about making a pilgrimage in our modern age.  What does it mean to make a spiritual journey in our 21st century?  How can becoming a pilgrim transform us?

During a sabbatical year, Karen and Ed Solomon walked a 1,000 year-old Christian pilgrim route called the Camino Santiago de Compostela or the Way of St. James.  Their pilgrimage of almost 500 miles took them from the St. John Pied-de-Port in southern France to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in northwestern Spain where, according to tradition, the Apostle James is buried.

Ed Solomon writes:  “In the deepest sense, all of us search for meaning in our world.  A pilgrimage is an ancient and simple tool to reconnect ourselves with what is most important in our lives.  As pilgrims, rather than tourists, the Camino brought us into contact with other pilgrims from all over the world.  It provided the time and space for the inner journey each of us must walk to find our way in this world.”

The Solomons will talk about their pilgrimage experience and share insights from the Camino journey.
