Four teams of students from Sage College of Albany participated in the regionals of the fifth annual New York Business Plan competition (NYBPC) on April 3. The event was held at the SUNY College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering. Students were required to present an idea, technology, product or service.

The Sage Colleges will host "Slavery and the Underground Railroad: The Larger Context, the Lingering Legacy" April 11-13. The public history conference will investigate the relationship between the Underground Railroad and the institution of slavery in the United States, and how this history is relevant today.

The Sage Colleges is pleased to welcome Judith Enck to the Troy campus on Wednesday, April 16 to deliver this spring’s “Women of Influence in Politics” lecture. Enck is the regional administrator for Region 2 of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and will speak about the unique role women have, and will continue to play as environmental leaders in our state and in the nation. She will also address environmental issues that are the current focus of President Barack Obama and the EPA, including climate change.

The Sage Colleges is pleased to kick off Autism Awareness Month with its second annual "Best Practices in Autism Intervention" conference on Saturday, April 5 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the Troy campus. This year’s theme is “Autism Treatment: A Rich History and a Promising Future.”

Rayane AbuSabha, Ph.D., professor in the Nutrition Science Department at The Sage Colleges, is studying the impact of Field Goods produce subscription service on customers' fruit and vegetable intake. Participants in the study will be surveyed as soon as they subscribe to receive their first bag of produce and then surveyed again at various points throughout the study which will be conducted over a year period.
