The Academy for Character Education at The Sage Colleges is hosting its summer learning camp through July 31, 2015. The camp is open to residents of the Troy Housing Authority Griswold complex who are in grades one through five. The program accommodates up to thirty children.

The Sage Colleges is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) grant from the New York State Education Department. Sage will receive a total of $2 million over a period of 5 years, roughly $400,000 annually. More than 250 students are expected to benefit from the program each year.

The Sage Colleges is proud to announce that its accounting (Bachelor of Science) degree program was named as one of the top 100 most affordable programs among small colleges in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Sage, which was ranked 60 was one of only four schools in New York State to receive the top 100 distinction from Online-Accounting Degrees.net.

Faculty and administrators from The Sage Colleges contributed to “Redefining the Paradigm: Faculty Models to Support Student Learning” – a monograph that encourages colleges and universities to more effectively structure departments to address changes in higher education and better support student learning. Over the past two years, several members of the Sage community worked with colleagues throughout the New American Colleges and Universities (NAC&U) consortium on this Teagle Foundation-funded project to study and make recommendations on holistic departments and faculty evaluation methods.

The Sage Colleges recently became the newest partner of the Clean Technologies & Sustainable Industries Early College High School (Clean Tech ECHS), a NYS Pathways in Technology Early College High School (NYS P-TECH). Their partnership includes participation in the mentoring program, guest speaking and authentic audience experiences, as well as a Bronze Sponsorship at the $2,500 level and a scholarship for eligible students.
