Andrew Palumbo has been named director of Undergraduate Admission for The Sage Colleges, effective July 1. Currently the Director of Admission for Sages Albany Campus, this move will expand his portfolio to both campuses with primary responsibility for first-year student recruitment.

During his two years at SCA, applications and freshman enrollments have doubled. "Though resource-challenged, we are blessed with an abundance of talent and Andy has already shown great leadership on both campuses, among all important constituencies," said associate vice president Beth Robertson. "This move represents the completion of the consolidation of Sage Admission by eliminating an effective but less-efficient dual-director structure."

Following nine years of loyal service to RSC, Kathy Rusch will leave in July. "Kathy's commitment to making this transition seamless, especially for the staff, is much appreciated," said Vice President Dan Lundquist. "We all wish her well in new ventures in the Capital District."

A native of Worcester, MA, Palumbo is an honors graduate of Union College. After graduation he worked in corporate sales. Upon returning to his alma mater as an Assistant Dean of Admissions, he recruited nationally and internationally for Union before coming to Sage. Last year he was recently recognized as a Rising Star in the Business Reviews annual "40 Under 40" awards ceremony.
