Academy for Character Education Announces 2010 NYS School of Character

The Academy for Character Education is pleased to announce Chatham Middle School, Chatham, N.Y. as the 2010 New York State School of Character

Sponsored by The Academy for Character Education at The Sage Colleges and the Character Education Partnership, the New York State Schools of Character (NY SSOC) awards program recognizes schools or districts that demonstrate outstanding school climate and academic performance.

The NY SSOC winners were chosen by a panel of independent reviewers who have been involved in character education and student development for many years. New York State School of Character winners have advanced to the national level competition as New York's nominees for the National School of Character awards program.
