During the month of November, The Sage Colleges CAPES Peer Education Program in collaboration with the New York State Partnership Against Drowsy Driving held a joint press conference on the Sage College of Albany campus. Attending this statewide event were multiple representatives from the media such as Fox 23 News, YNN, News Channel 13, CBS 6, and the Times Union newspaper. Representatives from The Sage Colleges, New York State Department of Transportation, New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, New York State Police, and New York State Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee were also present.

The joint state wide press conference was a huge success both for The Sage Colleges, New York State Partnership Against Drowsy Driving, and The CAPES Peer Education Program. Due to the success of the press conference, several organizations such as the New York State Police, will team up with our peer educators this December to help raise awareness of DWI during the holidays. Events will be held on 12/7 and 12/8 in Buchman Pavilion from 11:00am - 1:00pm.

The New York State Police Driving Simulator will be present along with Beer Goggle Mario Kart, educational materials, and food/prizes. Hope to see you there!
