The Sage Colleges Hires Directors of New Research Institute and Partners Program

Michele C. Grubb, Sage Research Institute

Sage is pleased to announce the appointment of Michele C. Grubb as the director of the Sage Research Institute, which serves as a resource for information regarding all aspects of research and grant procedures and policies.

As director, Grubb will promote, support and coordinate research activities within the Institute, while assisting faculty and students seeking funds for research. She will also serve on the Institutional Review Board, Grants Policy Committee and will work closely with the Director of Corporate, Government and Foundation relations.

Prior to joining Sage, Grubb worked as a senior writer at One River Grants in Troy and was an assistant professor at Albany Medical College. She received her bachelor’s degree from Franklin and Marshall College, her doctorate in neuroscience from the University of Virginia and also obtained a post doctoral fellowship in neuroscience from the Oregon Health and Science University.

George Tiggle, Sage Partners Program

Sage is pleased to welcome George Tiggle as the first director of the Sage Partners Program, a networking venture that will integrate outreach efforts in admission, alumni and parent programs and corporate relations.

Tiggle will expand the scope of the former alumni admission program as he cultivates relationships among alumni, current and potential students, and businesses to raise Sage’s visibility among college applicants and identify internship and career opportunities for Sage students and graduates.

Tiggle has extensive experience in volunteer management, college admissions and fundraising. He worked in the Office of Annual Giving at Mercersburg Academy in Pennsylvania prior to joining Sage and has also worked at Newark Academy, NBC and Union College.
