Rebecca Krefting Talks Comics and Modern-Day Minstrels
TROY, NY – Sage invites all to attend Rebecca “Beck” Krefting’s upcoming lecture Comics and Modern-Day Minstrels: (Dis)Membering the Chuckle Effect.
Krefting, visting assistant professor of American studies at Skidmore College, is also an author, stand-up comic and improv actress. She is presently revising her dissertation, “Working the Crowd: Enacting Cultural Citizenship through Changed Humor,” into a book. Her research has covered an array of topics including humor, laughter, gender and sexuality, theater, print and visual media and pop culture.
