Sage Responds to Economic Slowdown by Investing in Itself
September 1st, 2009
When the economy slows, it is natural for businesses to rein in a little -- or a lot. But The Sage Colleges realized that in order to continue offering a top-notch, modern, and comfortable educational experience to today's college students, it needs to keep investing in itself and its future, says President Susan C. Scrimshaw. In the long run, that strategy is bound to pay off.
The Troy and Albany campuses were noisy this summer with the sounds of progress.
Students and faculty returned for the fall semester to find newly modernized classrooms, lounges, and offices in some buildings, a new Cafe in the freshly renovated Albany Campus Library, a new floor in the Gym (now home to men's as well as women's basketball), and many renovations and vastly improved wireless access on both campuses.
