Albany & Troy, NY – Both Russell Sage College and Sage College of Albany residence halls will be at full capacity this week, as students return to campus for the start of the fall semester.

Undergraduate enrollment at The Sage Colleges has increased seven percent in the last year, and that over the largest incoming class in 10 years on both campuses in 2011, and 28 percent since 2008.

“We believe this growth is a reflection of Sage’s program relevance and excellence,” according to Dan Lundquist, vice president of marketing and enrollment. “What we do at Sage is valued, important, and popular, and our commitment to making a quality private college affordable underpins this success.”

One program that has seen significant growth is The Discovery Degree, an accelerated honors program at Russell Sage that allows exceptionally qualified students to complete their bachelor’s degree in three years. The program will welcome 32 students this fall, the most since the programs’ inception in 2010.

While Sage continues to enroll students until September 4, numbers as of August 20 are:
