Opalka Gallery at Sage to host 15th Annual High School Regional
The Opalka Gallery at The Sage Colleges is pleased to host the 15th Annual High School Regional from March 17 – April 20, 2014. This juried exhibition will feature over 100 works from 22 schools in New York’s Capital Region, highlighting the breadth and talent of area high school student-artists.
From both city and suburban districts, public and private, exhibited work will show the diversity, creativity, and technical abilities of local students. The annual exhibit aims to emphasize the importance of art in education and highlight the power of art in students’ lives.
The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.

EXHIBITION HOURS: Monday - Friday, 10am - 8pm and Sundays, 12pm - 5pm
All other hours by appointment only
RECEPTION: Friday, April 4, 6pm-8pm Awards at 7pm followed by a talk from artist Mike Glier

The story of Jewish and Dominican teenagers in New York City's Washington Heights, who together with the legendary theater director, Liz Swados, put on a musical about the Dominican rescue of 800 Jews from Hitler’s Germany.
April 16 – My Sister’s Quinceanara
Made with Mexican-American residents of Iowa with no prior acting experience, the film is a rural coming-of-age drama about circumstances, American aspirations, and the effect of family ties.
