The Sage Colleges is pleased to welcome Therapy Dogs International (TDI) to its Russell Sage campus on Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Kellas Quad. Kellas Quad is located behind Kellas Hall. A map of the Troy campus is attached. Media may park in the lot across from Schacht Fine Arts Center at the corner of First and Division Streets.

Sage College of Albany will host fine artist Jenny Kemp as the final speaker in its 2015 Artist Lecture Series on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. The series is co-sponsored by the Opalka Gallery and Sage College of Albany’s Department of Art + Design.

More than 70 Middle and High School students from the Brunswick/Brittonkill and Schodack Central School Districts will visit Russell Sage College on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 as part of a Sage program which encourages student participation in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) learning activities. Students will conduct several experiments, attend a panel discussion with professionals in the STEM field and speak with Sage students about their STEM career paths.

President of The Sage Colleges Susan C. Scrimshaw has been appointed Co-chair of the Institute of Medicine’s Global Forum on Innovation in Health Professional Education (IHPE). Scrimshaw will co-chair her first meeting of the Forum on April 22 in Washington D.C. at the National Academy of Sciences. Following the meeting, the Forum will sponsor a workshop at the Academy on “Envisioning the Future of Health Professions in Education” April 23 and 24.

The Sage Colleges will host its third annual "Best Practices in Autism Intervention" conference on Saturday, April 18 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in room 224 of Kahl campus center on the Albany campus located at 140 New Scotland Avenue. This year’s theme is “The Forgotten Curriculum: Sexuality and Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).”

The Opalka Gallery on the Sage College of Albany campus will host a free screening of the film “16 Photographs at Ohrdruf” on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. The screening coincides with Holocaust Remembrance Day and director and filmmaker Matthew Nash will be present to answer questions following the film.
